Andy Smith

Andy Smith has lived in the Darby Creek Watershed in the town of Devon, Pennsylvania for 18 years.   After completing a 35 year career as a campus minister and then, Director of Social Responsibility in Investments for the American Baptist Churches USA, he now consults with corporations on building a sustainable society.  He has also taught ethics and philosophy at Neumann College.   His formal education includes an AB in history from Duke University, an STB from Harvard University and a PHD in Religion and Society from Drew University. 

Andy has had a passion for photography for many years, developing a large portfolio of slides from around the world during his travels for the church.  In the last several years his interest in bringing people in touch with the natural world has led to a focus on nature photography, with a particular emphasis on birds, and the formation of Andy Smith Photography – Fine Art Nature Photography.  His award-winning photography has been exhibited at Neumann College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Drew University, Central Baptist Church in Wayne Pennsylvania, and the Ocean City Arts Center in New Jersey.  Images are available for sale at galleries and shops in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and North Carolina and at www.AndySmithPhotography.com.
