Membership Levels and Benefits
- Is your business privately held? (not publicly traded) yes or no
- Do the business owners, totaling greater than 50% of the business ownership, live within 50 miles of the place of business? yes or no
- Is your business located within the Greater Philadelphia region, with no corporate or national headquarters out-of-state? yes or no
- Can your business make independent decisions regarding the name and look of your business, as well as all business purchasing, practices and distribution? yes or no
- Do you pay all your own marketing, rent and other business expenses (without assistance from a corporate headquarters)? yes or no

INDIVIDUALS:

STUDENT - $25
INDIVIDUAL - $50
BASIC MEMBERSHIP, BUSINESS/ORGANIZATION:
Benefits of Basic Business Membership include all of the above benefits, plus a listing in our Members Directory (over 10,000 copies distributed in 2008!); Identified in Online Marketplace as SBN Member; Ability to market your event or promotion in our monthly e-newsletter, which reaches 1,500 people; Buy Local Philly Campaign Membership (business located within City of Philadelphia only); Access to a local network of like-minded independent businesses; Competitive differentiation by advertising your SBN membership and using our logo.
Business memberships are determined by the number of employees.
1-2 EMPLOYEES (including owner): $80
3-10 EMPLOYEES (including owner): $150
11-20 EMPLOYEES (including owner): $200
21+ EMPLOYEES (including owner): $350
SUSTAINING MEMBERSHIPS:
Benefits of Sustaining Membership include all of the above benefits, plus additional benefits by level (see below).
To become a Sustaining Member, choose one of the following levels and add the Basic Membership appropriate for your Business/Organization. For example, a business with 11-20 employees would join at the Basic Level of $200, then add $200 to become a Sapling Sustaining Member, for total membership dues of $400.
SEED: $100 plus Basic Membership
Benefits: Your logo next to listing in Members Directory; Listed in the Members section of SBN website with a link to your website; Discounts to SBN events for all employees.
SAPLING: $200 plus Basic Membership
Benefits: All of the above, plus Listing on SBN homepage with link to your website; Logo on the "Sustaining Members Thank You Page" at the front of the Members Directory.
SYCAMORE: $500 plus Basic Membership
Benefits: All of the above, plus Full color, quarter-page ad in Members Directory (a $300 value); Listing on SBN homepage with link to your website; Link and logo at the top of all SBN e-newsletters; Acknowledgement on all promotional materials for SBN monthly seminars.
SEQUOIA: $1000 plus Basic Membership
Benefits: All of the above, plus Full color, full-page ad in Members Directory (a $750 value); Acknowledgement on all promotional materials for SBN seminars and announcement during the event.
